Glad to hear this will not impact your fishing. I'm still torn on the subject personally, but I understand where you are coming from.

I believe lead has it's place, but the way the proposal was written, ALL lead products would have been banned. That would have taken away my ten pound down-rigger weights and lead-core trolling line.
Here in Vermont, we have a good "ban" on lead sinkers already in place. No lead sinkers weighing 1/2 ounce or less can be used.

We also have a ban on Lead from half an ounce down, And in its place some fishermen use Steel shot, This can do more damage to wild life and fish than the lead, But we now have a Teflon coated steel core shot, But i cant understand why those in controle would want to ban anything heavyer than the Half Ounce,
