JAPAN

In the wake of the recent disaster in Japan, my mind continually wanders, wondering about the future of this great civilization perched on a fragile Island in the Pacific Ocean...
flirting and dancing with the great Pacific Ring of Fire.
One of the folks my mind has often wandered toward is fellow blogger Manabu Kurita.

Manabu Kurita

Manabu is a fisherman from the country of Japan.  He holds the IGFA World Record Largemouth Bass...actually it's a shared record...a tie.
Manabu has a blog that I've followed since last summer: Keep Chasing the World Record.
I decided to check on Manabu...it appears he's okay and has escaped injury as I've found him to be "tweeting" and posting on his facebook account.

MY THOUGHTS ARE WITH THE PEOPLE OF JAPAN...
MAY THEY RECOVER, REBUILD, REGAIN STRENGTH, AND CONTINUE WITH THEIR GREAT WAY OF LIFE.

Fish on, fish H8 me.

I too feel for the people of Japan. I didn't know about Manubu Kurita's blog...I'm following now. Who knows, maybe I'll pick up one of those posters for Lilly's room!

Nice post. My heart also goes out to the people in Japan. I may be in the minority on this one, but I don't really think Manubu's record should stand without an asterick mark next to his name since he caught it while chumming. Just doesn't seem like his "record" was caught using good sportsmanship.
